Craig Burmeister

President

Craig is a licensed professional engineer with nearly two decades of experience in the water and wastewater field. Craig began his career working as a consulting engineer in the water supply group at Hatch Mott MacDonald in New Jersey.


He then spent 8 years as an outside sales representative for Reiner Pump Systems in New Jersey — selling pumping equipment, control systems, and packaged wastewater treatment plants in the municipal water and wastewater market in the New York City metro area.


In 2011, he took the opportunity to bring his expertise and customer service to New England by founding Carlsen Systems. Craig earned a B.S. in civil engineering from Lehigh University and a M.S. in construction management from Stevens Institute of Technology.

Brian Olsen

Vice President of Sales

Brian joined Carlsen Systems in 2017. He excels at overseeing large, complex assignments that focus on critical infrastructure.


In his career — which includes over 13 years at Emerson Network Power — he has worked with some of the largest data center owners, engineers, and facility managers in North America.


Brian is a graduate of the United States Merchant Marine Academy and Stevens Institute of Technology.


He spent 9 years in the United States Naval Reserve and was honorably discharged as a lieutenant.


Danielle Hasselberg

Engineering Manager

Danielle provides engineering support to consulting engineers and end users, including running calculations and recommending the best equipment for each job.


She joined Carlsen Systems in 2019. She is a licensed professional engineer with 20 years of experience, including 17 years at CDM Smith where she worked extensively on municipal wastewater treatment plant design all over New England — from preliminary design reports through all phases of design into construction.


Over the years, her design work has involved nutrient removal, aeration, thickening, UV disinfection, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, and combined sewer overflow separation.


Danielle earned a B.S. in civil engineering from Lehigh University.

Michael Sullivan

Process Equipment

Sales Engineer

When Carlsen acquired David F. Sullivan & Associates. Mike focuses on engineering, end-user, and contractor sales for both municipal water and wastewater process equipment.


Mike’s leadership is exemplified by his desire to solve problems, his customer-oriented mindset, and his vast technical knowledge.


A past president of NHWPCA, Mike is a member of WEF, NEWEA, AWWA, and NEWWA. He graduated from UMass Lowell with a B.S. in civil engineering.


ZACH LAMOUREUX

Sales Engineer

Zach focuses on aftermarket sales in Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts.

 

Zach joined Carlsen Systems in 2019, shortly after graduating from New England Institute of Technology with a B.S. in mechanical engineering technology.

 

Zach uses his diverse skill set to help solve a wide range of problems. Whether using his mechanical engineering background to design a custom adapter for a pump installation or using his computer/IT savvy to help solve a controls issue, Zach is willing to jump in and do what is necessary to take care of the customer.

 

Zach serves on NEWEA’s Young Professional Committee and he is currently the Events Coordinator.


LARRY SCOLA

Sales Engineer

Larry focuses on aftermarket sales in Massachusetts.

 

Larry has worked in the water/wastewater industry since 2011 and has extensive experience selling high performance actuators and variable frequency drives.

 

Larry is a Grade 4 wastewater operator in Massachusetts. Larry earned a degree in B.S. in Marine Safety and Environmental Protection from the Massachusetts Maritime Academy.

 

Larry is active in both NEWEA and the Western MA Waterworks Association.


Tim Bezler

Process Sales Equipment Engineer

Tim sells Process Equipment for both water and wastewater. He focuses on engineering, end user, and contractor sales in Connecticut.

 

Tim joined Carlsen Systems in 2021 when Carlsen acquired David F. Sullivan & Associates. 

 

Tim entered the water/wastewater business in 1980 with Dorr-Oliver, an equipment manufacturer in Stamford, CT. Tim earned a B.S. in chemical engineering from Penn State University.


Earl Bond 

Service Director


Earl started as Service Director with Carlsen in 2021. Earl brings over 24 years of wastewater industry experience, including expertise in maintenance, field troubleshooting, and project management.

 

With extensive knowledge of both mechanical systems and control systems, Earl possesses and extremely broad skill set. His technical expertise, combined with his project management experience, make Earl the perfect person to lead Carlsen’s efforts to provide industry-leading field service and support.

 

Carlsen strives to provide industry-leading customer service and support.

 

Earl holds a Grade 2 Wastewater Operator's License in Rhode Island. Earl is both a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) and a Project Management Professional (PMP). Earl earned an Associate's Degree in mechanics from the New England Institute of Technology.
